When an LJ posts a link, it should open in a new tab. Can the admins have a look and perhaps turn this feature on. I usually have many browser tabs open at once and every other site I’m on opens a new tab when I click on a link. I’d like LJ to do that as well, it would be easier to stay on LJ.

Thanks for your consideration.

Russell, you may already know this, but right click the link you can open in a new tab or a new window in most browsers.

I do that, but it’s kind of a hassle. It would behoove the site admins to do everything they can to keep you on their page. Lets say you click a link and then go to you tube to see a vid, then you forget and either close that tab or navigate elsewhere, you’ve basically taken yourself off of the LJ site. Then you have to open it again and find the post you lost.

On my blog, I can control how links open from my site, but that is for things that I am publishing.

What you need to do is find the option in whatever browser you’re using to open links in new tabs (or windows). That should solve your problem.

Hey guys,

You can also hold down the “Ctrl” key while clicking on a link and it will open it in a new tab. That’s how I do it. :-)
