I got some glue drying and discovered yesterday that the blade needed to changed. So I got the manual out as this is my first time to change the blade. Took the tension off removed the old blade (I had to almost pop it off the wheel) and for the last hour or two I have been trying to get the new blade on. The wheel is as loose as it gets and I checked the blade size, it is ok.

So what is the trick? I thought asbout using soap or something but I am not sure that would be the answer.

This has turned into an afternoon project in itself.

Thanks

I have one of these. I’ve changed the blade a few times – no problem. I got the riser block so got the wrong blades initially but exchanged them – now it’s fine. Maybe the bvlade size is in error. Got one of those once. It was off by 1 1/2”. Caused me a lot of greif.

Thanks Bruce, I went back out and put some lubioil (Actual Name) on the threads of the tensioner. After feeling like I was going to break the tensioner it gave and released some more. It was hanging on the 1/8 setting. I have a 3/4 in blade on it. So far it is looking good. The cut and the guides are reset. Oh yea I have the riser also. Kinda nice to have.

Thanks.
