Maybe this is well know, I don’t know, but I stumbled across this the other day and thought I would share.
As many of you know, there is no SketchUp for the iPad, and if you use your like me, and can’t live without your iPad, you moan about this any time you waste paper in the printer, printing up plans.
Now, be it know, I am a NOOB when it come to Sketchup, and I just discovered you can export Sketchup component pages to various image files (jpg, png, ect).
So, the other day, I though, HEY, I’ll image my Sketchup into pages and upload them to Dropbox and have them available for my iPad via Goodreader. Yeah. In all I had 16 png images from the SketchUp plans I had started with.
Anyway, the discovery is this. I did all the above, and opened the first “page” of my SketchUp plans in Goodreader. For some reason I can’t remember, at one point I “flipped” the image page on my iPad with my finger. Not sure why, I guess subconsously(sp?) I wanted to look at the next page. Well, much to my suprise, the page FLIPPED to the next SketchUp “page”! I was able to flip through several images before this stopped and I had to exit out and select a “page” further down my list.
If your not a SketckUp or iPad user, this is no big deal, but for those of you that are, I hope this is a WOW for you like it was for me.
IF you need more explination on how I did this, just ask. I know I can be crummy sometimes at explaining things.
