Topic tags/keywords: blocking who me

Why would anyone want to Block someone?

1. Attacking someone…

2. Constantly making trouble…

3. Not complying with thread starter’s requests…

4. Posting Private Messages, which are supposed to be Private.

5. Getting vicious…

6. Smiling at you while they stab you in the back…

7. Turning to Name Calling…

... just a few I can think of…

Why is my block list empty.
Because I cannot fiind a good reason to block any member no matter what.

I thought blocking was a necessity of the game.

Oh, we’re not talking football are we? Nevermind. Carry on.

Eight corners, 90 degree angles
Flat top, stares straight ahead
Stock parts, blockhead

I blocked a idiot here on LJ’s … took about 2 seconds. Felt good.

Block who you wish Joe and why you want to block them, there’s no law against it. I think all your points are valid. I think many folks violate #3

”In an avalanche, every snowflake declares his innocence” -unknown

Let’s not jump to conclusions! If those who use the block feature aren’t nice people, consider the horrendous behavior of those who get blocked often, and for good reason. Need examples?

@ Bertha

Got to agree. When you block a lot of people then:
“You Get So Alone at Times That It Just Makes Sense”

for instance, from “darkness”

all our days are marked with
unexpected
affronts – some
disastrous, others
less so
but the process is
wearing and
continuous.
attrition rules.
most give
way
leaving
empty spaces
where people should
be.

apropos?

I was actually amused to see that poopiekat had blocked me… no clue why. Maybe because he’s… Poopie? :)

Being a woodworking forum, I immediately thought, “you have to use blocking in the wall to support any hanging cabinetry that would need extra support at the anchor points.”

Then I noticed this was NOT a woodworking topic—MY BAD.

A man was traveling north to Alberta. He needed to use the bathroom and so at a rest stop he goes into a stall. He sits down and was surprised to hear someone in the next stall say, “So how ya doing?”

The man gulps and thinks about what he should say and then decides to answer. So he clears his throat and says, “uh….I’m fine.”

Then the stranger in the next stall says, “So where are you headed?”

Again the man, a little nervous answers, “Uh…I’m headin north to Alberta.”

Then the stranger asked, “So what have you been up to?” Again the man answers, “Not much, I’m actually on a business trip.”

The man sat there waiting for another question when finally he heard the stranger in the next stall impatiently say, “Look, I’m going to have to call you back, some idiot in the next stall thinks I’m talking to him.”

well i guess we all think we are somebody
_

A customer service award should go to the United Airlines gate agent in Denver for being so clever while making her point when confronted with a passenger who probably deserved to fly as cargo. A crowded United Airlines flight was cancelled. A single agent was rebooking a long line of inconvenienced travellers, when suddenly an angry passenger pushed his way to the desk front. He slapped his ticket on the counter and said, “I HAVE to be on this flight and it has to be FIRST CLASS!”

The agent replied, “I am sorry, sir, I’ll be happy to try to help you, but I’ve got to help these folks who were in the line ahead of you first. I’m sure we will be able to work something out.”

The irate passenger was unimpressed. He asked loudly, so that the passengers behind him could hear, “DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?”

Without hesitating, the agent smiled and grabbed her public address microphone: “May I have your attention, please,” she began, her voice heard clearly throughout the terminal. “We have a passenger here at Gate 14 WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him find his identity, please come to Gate 14.”

With the folks behind him laughing hysterically, the man glared at the United agent, gritted his teeth and swore “F**K YOU!”

Without flinching the agent smiled and said, “Sorry sir, but you’ll have to get in line for that, too.”
