Topic tags/keywords: search

When I do a search in the forums, I get lots of results. When I am looking through any but page one of the results, there is an odd behavior. After reading a particular post, I hit the “Back” button and always return to the top of the first page of the results. This means I have to scroll to the bottom and click on the page I really want to be at.

Even when I read a post from the first page of results and then go back to the results page, I end up at the top of the page, not where I was reading.

I’m using Windows XP with SP3 and Firefox 12.

Hope this is clear and I hope you can sort it out.

Thanks,
Jim

To add a bit to my post. Is anyone else noticing this with their searches or is it just me?

Thanks,
Jim

It has happened to me. The cure is to Right Click, and open link in new tab. Close that tab after reading, and you are right back where you were. Works for me.

jim, thats just the way the search is on this site, it could use a bit of work in my opinion as well. Right click or hold control to open it in a new tab, thats the easiest way that ive found to deal with it.

Thanks for the comments and the reassurance that it isn’t me doing something silly.

hairy, I never thought of the Right Click idea, even though I use it all the time on other sites. It will nake life easier.

Thanks,
Jim
