Topic tags/keywords: tablesaw

I just came back home the owner of a 7 years old /3HP very clean Delta Unisaw.
I paid $500.00 for it.
In addition I got a recent Bosh 2 1/2HP plunge router for $50.00 .
A Bosh made in Switzerland ( a good one ) recent jigsaw for $50.00
and about 200 Jorgensen screw type clamp of assorted size for $20, and a free 6” dado set.

The saw runs excellent.
Question: what have done for dust collection in these saws?
Thanks

-- Bert

Very nice deal you made. 200 clamps? Wow.

If your saw lacks a shroud around the blade for dust
collection, you may need to make one if there isn’t
an OEM available. There’s a thread on another site
about making them.

http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?142688-Under-table-Blade-dust-shroud-for-1970-Unisaw

Alternatively, make a sort of square funnel with a 4”
dust port on the middle and mount it inside the saw
so the dust that falls into the cabinet gets steered
into the dust hose.

CATO , another one, the one I was lloking at go sold and really it was too large for my shop.
This afternoon I talked to a guy about buying his 52” Powermatic, I could have get it for $1200.00 but again it would have taken too much room in my shop. Today it was no less than 5 Unisaw for sale in Salt lake city.

Loren, thank you for the link

Jorgensen clamps: I never used those before in my life.
What do you do with them?
One has a price tag for $23.00 on it.

Was this deal made in a back alley? LOL. Oh yeah, I think the $23.00 ones were recalled, send em to me and I’ll make sure they get fixed up for you.
