Topic tags/keywords: lathe milling turning

This is a photo of some wood I lathed yesterday, the tree was cut down the day before. I’m pretty sure it will crack apart, but I just wanted to see what the wood looked like. I have about 5 logs that will make about 2 12inch bowls each. I grabbed a limb to see what the wood looked like. I painted the ends of the big pieces yesterday. I’ll be going back to do the larger limbs too. Sorry for the bad photo but the whole piece has a lot of shimmer. I hope you enjoy.

Oh yeah, since it’s trout fishing started two weeks ago in Oregon, it is a fish bonker!
