Grizzly G0715P - Setup Question/Flatness

Hi – I just received my first real saw, granted its a hybrid and not a true cabinet saw, but it is a step up from my $95 delta contractor. I am in the middle of setting the saw up and I am not sure if what I am seeing is intentional or a defect.

Essentially, on the main part of the table, the area between the miter tracks is lower than the area outside the mitre tracks. That is, if I take a straight edge and hold it across the saw I can see light under the straight edge in the section of the saw that has the blade.

Each individual section is flat, the wings are flat, each side outside the mitre track is flat and the area between mitre tracks is flat. However, the area in between the mitre tracks is lower than the rest of the table.
