Topic tags/keywords: question

I have asked before. I have done every single thing that has been suggested by all on tonyz’s question and my own awhile back. I now have firefox 3. I CANNOT get “the brown boxes” to do ANYTHING but stay brown. I can not go to the next page on peoples projects. If I get to the page that has the 15 projects then I can reply but then I have to go back to that original page if I want to see others. It will not go from “projects 1-4” then I cannot go to “projects “5 through9 ” etc. My drop down does not work and I still cannot get to my page unless I go thru Odie’s. I just took out the toolbar. I gave up. This is a 6 or7 year old dell with windows 2000 xp. I am using firefox 3. Any other suggestions. I hardly get
Thanks Allisonto come here at all any more cuz I just can’t do or see anything!

Allison, have you tried right-clicking on a box and choosing “Open Link inNew Window”? Does the pointer change to a hand when you move it over a box?

By the way, you are either using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, but not both. :-)

One solution may be to download the FireFox Addin (Tools menu) called “IE Tab” and install and then switch the rendering engine to IE.

Another solution might be to disable the FireFox popup blocker for the LJ site. Sound like the Popup blocker may be getting you.

sounds like you dont have Javascript enabled.
go to (edit)->Preferences (if it’s not under edit., look it up.. it should be in one of the menus – Im using a Mac so it might be slightly different). then go to the CONTENT tab, and make sure JavaScript and Java are ENABLED (checkmark is ON) – if it’s not – then that’s probably why you are experiencing these lame page controls… cause they are not enabled. popup blocker can stay on – it has nothing to do with it.

let us know if you have any improvements.

Peace

talk about strange, I disabled java and javascript on my firefox, and I can’t change between enlarged pictures when viewing projects, but every thing else seems to work. Are you having problems with other sites? or other programs even? (could it be a bad mouse?—I have had mice with broken tails that really drove me nuts)
on the projects page I assume you mean the 1 2 3 4 …. 691 boxes on the bottom of the page don’t work. as you mouse over them does the link in the status line ( in view check “status bar”) change to reflect the page url?? as I mouse over the box turns brown, and the status line changes to “http://lumberjocks.com/projects/page/x” where x is the number in the box
what add-ons if any are you running??
