I really like my new saw, however I want to put an auxiliary fence on it. The stock fence is fine. Does what I need and stays put. Right now I have a piece of 11-ply 3/4” plywood clamped to it. I’d like to do something a bit nicer than that. Lots of ideas out there for auxiliary fence, but I noticed right away that once I put a 3/4” auxiliary fence on there, the tape measure is no longer accurate and I can’t adjust the “sight” to make up that 3/4”.

So…. do you peel the tape off and put a new one on or do you just measure from fence to blade and forget about that fence-mounted tape?

I never use the fence mounted tape as it is just not that accurate even though I have tried to make it so. I always measure from the fence to the inside of the blade teeth and never have an off cut.
