I am new to lumberjocks and a relatively new woodworker. All of the small projects (boxes, turnings, carvings) have been done in maple or basswood. Now I have purchased a couple of pieces of wood (cocobolo, zebrawood pyinma) that are covered with wax. What is the best way to remove the wax? I thought about cutting it off with my band saw, but won’t that gum up the blade? |
