Good day,

I’m new into woodworking. I’ve done different project but never worked with dovetails. I found this plan for a cheese cutting board, I would like to complete for a friend that start is own winery. No problem for completing the board but my only concern is regarding the feet.

I need to match it to fit into the 1/2 dovetails. It’s a really small piece and would like to have your advice how to do it without hurting my on a table saw or router table.

Thank you and sorry for my English writing, French is my mother tongue.

Here is a demo video along with others to give you a visual idea on how to accomplish. ...for me to explain would just be confusing. I like to use the tablesaw to cut out the bulk of the path and then set the dovetail to the path.

I would not at all use a machine for an operation with parts at this scale. hand tools will be much easier, safer and more pleasent.
You can cut the housing for the dovetail using a backsaw with a board clamped to it as a depth stop. Then chisel and router plane out the waste.
