I scored this off Ebay with a winning bid of $36.00 + $11.00 shipping. It looked super clean when I saw it online, but was shocked to see how well preserved it is when it arrived today. I played with it for a few minutes on a clean 2X4. The blade adjusting wheel has only a 1/4 turn of slop. The lateral adjuster has zero slop. I dont have enough knowledge yet to tell if it is all original, if not….... whoever refinished it is world class. The wife was a little jealous seeing that a $47.00 plane looks and works as good as her Veritas plane I bought her a couple months ago. She wants to bring it to her guild meeting tonight.

Whether it’s original or restored, it’s a beauty, and a steal at that price.

Yes, I think everyone agrees…

You officially suck. ;)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to figure out a way not to be so green…
