Just wanted to mention what a fantastic company Sawstop is. Back in October 2011 I finally got my cash saved up and purchase the 3 hp Industrial table saw, with 52” fence, mobile base and dust collection tube. Replacing my old 1940 something model 113.27520 Craftsman. Needless to say I was ever so happy with the saw.

Recently I received an email from a Ms. Patty Terrazzino at Sawstop. She inquires about how I liked the saw, so I proceeded with my response but mentioned myself as a ‘somewhat satisfied customer’.

I explained my answer telling her how I am totally impressed by the saw, however my beef was with the offers I had been seeing about the free dust system and free mobile base if you bought the Professional series model. The industrial is a step above that. She responded and explained that the Industrial version hasn’t those offers.

However she did send me a dado blade brake cartridge and a dado insert free of charge. A company that cares.

Upon receiving those items I re-emailed her and signed my email as a ‘very satisfied’ customer.

Just wanted to share that.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

That does indeed sound like great customer service. A positive response AFTER the sale is usually a thing of the past.

I must admit, from reading your title, I was wondering if it was serious, sarcastic, or frighteningly gruesome!!! Glad to see it was not gruesome & that you like your saw.

I was part of a guild that was invited to Saw Stops location in NW Oregon, and was standing right next to their saw when the guy shoved the plywood into the blade (it never slowed down a bit) until the blade hit the hot dog he was holding; the blade stopped and dropped immediately, and the hot dog had but a tiny mark on it. It truly amazed me. Then, for the next two hours, the three guys there answered every question thrown at them completely and openly. We peeked inside the machines, saw their electronic stations, all kinds of stuff and all with a smile and the best of friendly hospitality. The machines they make are very nice, but the people make the company and they were great hosts.
