Topic tags/keywords: toy build christmas charity kids bwbh

I’m a relative novice to woodworking, but I found a few posting here that have me motivated. I want to start a toy build for charity for Christmas 2012. I proposed this to my local Guild, who suggested I get my ducks in a row before proposing any plans to the guild.

So I’m looking for your feedback, fellow builders with big hearts (BWBHes). What has been your experience? For example;

1. How many toys did you build?
2. How much manpower was required?
3. How did you pay for it?
4. How did you address liability issues (finishing, small/removable parts, choking hazards, etc.)?

Please, if you are a BWBH, share your knowledge and help make a few kids in Kansas City smile.

Sincerely,

Jeff
