photobucket image issues?

No , it’s not you I have that problem also, it doesn’t matter what I do, i generally have to try several times before it works, I think it has something to do Photobucket’s software(copy and paste). Being thinking of changing to a different site to store my pics and vids and see if it cures the problem.If you find the problem will you let me know?

I click on img, in the brown tab above. I upload from my computer directly to Lumberjock’s.

Yes, cotl I’ve had some recent problems with photobucket as well. It doesn’t seem to work as well, and the editing and ‘copy’ function is not the same. I dislike having to explore, and noodle around to find out how photobucket wants us to use it. Of my remaining available brain cells, I’d rather allocate them for learning new woodworking techniques, not for becoming a software engineer.

I think I’ve solved the problem on my end ( I read the instuctions and walla it worked! ), what I did was I right clicked and copied the link on the top of the page in Photobucket, in this page it would be http://lumberjocks.com/topics/37144, then I pasted it on the posting page and it worked!!!!!!! See if it works for you

I just copied poopie’s avatar and saved it in a folder. Navigated to the image using the browse button. I tried to do craftsmans picture first, but it said it was an unsupported file type, but most pictures load easily.

Don’t get me started about downloading/uploading/downloading pics in a LJ blog. I’ve been trying for two weeks to get pics and captions to come out together so I can post the fotos and captions of my landscape timber house., I either get the pics or the captions. I suppose, as they say, if all else fails, read the instructions.
Y’all fight it out. I gotsta go see what Miss Honey Ma’am wants me to do now.

Rejo, the instructions will just mess you up. I tried it that way first, and it just gave me a headache. The easy way to do it is to type all your text into a text document on your hard drive. Leave gaps marked for whatever picture you want to go there. ( insert tree pic)
Then type your caption underneath.
Add more text.
( insert barn pic) type your caption underneath.
More text, and so on.
When you get it all lined out, copy the file and paste it into the reply box. Browse for the image you want, when you hit insert image, it puts the code at the top of the post. Cut and paste it over ( insert tree pic). When you get all your picture codes pasted where you want them, hit the preview button. It will show you what it will look like with the pictures opened up. If it is good, just post it. If not, close preview and change what you want. It is really easy if you play with it a little. You may never figure it out by trying to follow the instructions. Everything I just told you was posted by someone else a few months ago. I was lost until then, it helped me alot.

Another way around it that’s easy.

You’ve got to go to photobucket website to upload your images.

Then return to LJ’s, click the blue photobucket button to see your pictures. The newest ones won’t show. But if you click the > below the picture then move back < the new pictures will show. Then you can use the ‘insert’ button to put the pict in your post like usual.

yea that is how i inserted the picture of dan, i just downloaded it to my computer and then did as hairy is showing, its that easy…
