So I responded to a Craigslist ad the other day, nice fellow buys old tools and re-sells what he doesn’t want and as he prefers powered tools he sells off most of the ‘manual’ type. The next is stamped “Kennedy & Co and is 21 1/4 /> The chip breaker has a crack at the top that I don’t think is an issue, the blade is stamped “Wm Greaves & Sons” the chip breaker is stamped “Shear Works”, both are THICK: The fourth is 16” long and stamped PB Brooks /> The blade shows Hancock Tool Co /> The shoulder plane (at least I think it’s a shoulder plane) is stamped JR Tolman /> The blade is noticeably wider than the frame: It’s a little rough: I’ll probably clean up a few and sell off the others…first I guess I should figure out what to call them, proper names. Any help? -- Upright and taking in nourishment--must be a good day |
