My daughter asked me to build her something she could mount on the wall above the toilet in her apartment so she could store extra bath towels. I haven’t seen the room but space is apparently limited to the area above the toilet and maybe 16-18 inches wide.

If you have any ideas or know of any plans I could take a look at, I would greatly appreciate it. Right now I am thinking about something that would resemble a wine storage cabinet, or slightly different but still egg crate design.

Have you thought about turning it 45 degrees for the “diamond” effect? Similar to wine rack idea and she could roll the towels instead of folding them so they are exposed for the contemporary “Bed Bath & Beyond” look.

Thanks jaidee. We thought about that. After taking a closer look at the exact spot, we decided to skip the idea. Just not enough depth to make anything useful that would work. My daughter hung a shelving unit with several shelves ranging from only about 3 inches deep to about 5. That will have to do for now. Thanks for posting.
