Ad relevance on Lumber Jocks

You seem to take for granted how many women are members here. The ads have to reflect the membership. No company would advertise on this site if there was no chance of getting some hits.

I also would find it hard to imagine that not one man on this site has not bought just plain, ordinary underware for their wife.

Get an ad blocking program and you won’t see the ads that offend you or make you think they don’t belong here.

The ads on your page is also determined by the search history and pages visited on your browser. Could be someone that uses your computer is browsing fashion.

try using AdBlock, works wonders.

I guess its better than seeing guys in thier underwear. But then again….....I’m old school. :)

I’m sure that some number of woman are here on LJ but I cant imagine its more than 2 or 3 percent if that. I would think that would not bring many hits for the site. I am not seeing any ads that are related to wood working as I use to in fact only one or two now and then. “Leonisa inviable and sexy shapeware” seems to be the only ad I see. I use my lap top and clear cookies and have pop up blocker turned on. and edited the config file for my browser so only Google can be use as the search engine. I do not visit porn or clothing sites or click on spam emails. I am not offended by the ads “in fact I enjoy woman in underware” for that mater I enjoy woman in every capacity, my best friend is a woman and happens to be my wife… Jonathan All I can say is live and let live, to each his own. David I don’t install anything other then Norton 360 on my computer, Ie, FireFox, and Open Office on this computer. But thanks anyway.

Betsy has verified the relevancy of the “underwear ads for woman”.

With somewhere north of 40,000+ members there have to be at least a few in our demographics that may be interested in something besides board stretchers and clamp substitutes, so just give it up. :-)

When my wife and I were first married, I bought her a real pretty nitey and matching underwear for a couple of years…..now 35 years later, two grown kids, and six grandkids, she gets “granny panties”....:)

Google AdSense mostly serves ads based on your browsing habits. This is what I see…
