I purchased the Senco Finish-Pro Mg 18 ga brad nailer to complete the quarter rounds for a wood floor installation. The gun uses 5/8 to 2-1/8 18 ga Finish Brad Nails. At that time I took advantage of a special Senco nail purchase (small assortment). The Senco paper work indicates for best service, use only Senco brads

I’m at a point where I need more nails. Went to Lowe’s & Home Depot. They do carry some Senco nails but not the size and type I need. .

There are many other brands of 18gaBrad Nails on the shelves, but not the Senco types I would like.

Are all 18 ga finish nails the same….??

Can I use Bostitch, Arrow, or other quality name brand 18 gauge nails in my Senco unit without concern…???

I’ve never had a problem using any 18 ga brad in my 18 ga nailers

I’ve never worried about it. I buy the large boxes and usually get whichever brand is the least expesive.
