This one goes to Tucson.
Walnut, Oak, and Maple. Interior flocked.
All left over pieces from a run of candy dishes.
Thanks for looking.
15” long, 5 3/4” high and 4 1/2” deep.

This is very nicely done, Gene. It’s an unusual box.

”This is very nicely done, Gene. It’s an unusual box.”

Thanks for the compliment, helluvawreck.
Been making boxes of this style for over 30 years. A buddy and I were just playing around in his shop when we came up with the design. Well, one similar, anyway. He said that they weren’t boxes but “negative space enclosures”. :-) But then he was an English Lit professor!

Well, neither of us permitted any form of adult beverages in the shop. But, a bottle of Yukon Jack and one of Glen Fiddich was within wallking distance.
We never got lit, but we glowed nicely.

Used to make those for presents. My wife is hoarding four of them. That is a particularly nice design on that one. I made one like a batmobile for my son to put his watches and other “man” jewelry in.
