sometime i get caught up in stuff get on a high horse and forget the man up above is still in control of all I forget he said to love him and you neighbor as your self and every thing will work out.i dont know where some where in the bible.but from time to time i listen to this to get thing into perspective .it was wrote by a slave trader they were a low life lot.but something happen to him and he seen the wrong of it and wrote this song. history say he got the melody from those that were in chains of there prayers.i don’t know .i do know it helps tone this old irish anger down.r maybe its with my kids in the military i know where freedom come from aint no politicians

That is one of my favorite songs. My people were Scots, so I don’t even mind the bagpipes. I still ain’t wearing a kilt, though. Try not to take it too seriously, you just can’t talk to some people. Especially about politics and religion.

thanks randy good advice i love studying history’and the Scots they were a brave and fighting lot .your people were Honorable too.a old mad told me god gave you two ear and one mouth that i need to lisen twice as much and keep it shut more i think he’s was right thanks randy
