Ok, I ciuld have aforded a planer before but soemhow I never had the time.

Well aI picked up a Delta 37-190 off Cragies list and I could not be happier. I have been quietly working to set up a shop and know I have a good (not great but maybe soon) tablesaw, a great dewalt 13” planer and a new ridged spindle/belt sander. I have now added a Delta 37-190 jointer and things are looking good. I just need to set up a basic router station and then I’m in great shape.

I’m planning on making highly figured boxes and small items so I think the tools I have will seve me well. As soon as I can I will probably upgrade the table saw but for now new blades will have to do.

Happily making progress…....

Tom

Small steps my friend. I don’t know a woodworker out there who has every tool they want – or need for that matter.

Sounds like you are being prudent in your endeavor. You will probably make a great craftsman.

Howie,

Thanks….that is the best comment I could hope for! To be a good craftsman is a great goal I think.

Thanks,

Tom

Congratulations. You’re probably as happy as I was when I got my first jointer.

Kevin, we should meet sometime, I’m pretty close.
