Working on a project for work and after a trip to the auction they bring me this.

It looks to be some type of helical head with knives???
Any help is appreciated

its the “quiet head”. They are hard to sharpen. You used to have to send the whole head in to the factory. Look on the owwm forum and do a search for quiet head. You will find lots of info. They are not made anymore, I believe. You can also contact Bobbie at woodworker’s toolworks. He may be able to give you information about if it is possible to have them sharpen it. He is a great guy. ob

that is the info I needed to open the doors. Thanks, everytime I ask a question on LJ it never fails to get answered.
