I have an idea with the blessing of my son and his wife to make a Garden object for my Grandson.MY leaning at present towards a sculpture or large wooden toy-sculpture of a Noahs Ark with a series of animals to match.I would love if you could show me even your smaller projects with this regard as I may end up making a smaller room type toy. Please point me in the right direction and show me your own work with either this or indeed any such work.I love you guys as always from the heart your Scottish buddy Alistair

I have a Noah’s Ark that is about 18” long. I didn’t make it, but it’s made out of wood, and it comes with a STACK of animal pieces, all different wood. Let me know if you are interested, and I’ll get it together and take a picture or two. It might give you some ideas.

AGAIN—I DID NOT MAKE THIS. But it goes along with Scotsman’s question.

Here’s some pictures of the ark and “supporting cast.” Mrs. Noah is included, but I have her out for an illustration at church.

All of the animals are made of different woods. For example, the Zebras are made of—Zebra wood. Some are dyed laminates. Others, like the giraffes, are made of wood that matches their fur pattern. Noah has spanish moss on his head for hair.

Hope that helps.

I made a Noah’s arc for my granddaughter. It is in my projects and I’m not smart enough to post the link so you’ll just have to go to my projects. I’m sure the plans were from Wood magazine. Not sure when but you can probably search their index. Grandkid projects are the best! Enjoy. EDIT Alistair, it’s always good to hear from you and I hope you all are healthy and happy!

Here’s the description of what comes with the plan.
