Hi All,
thanks for the advice and ideas. I decided to go with the old Rockwell 14” on Craig’s list. I paid a little more than I wanted to $300. BUT I got 14 blades in all different sizes. So that plus gas and dinner for my friend with the truck, I think I came out ok. The guy I bought it from is a great guy. He is happy for me to have it. It is old school and I like it! I think it really will be one that works a long time….at least I hope so!
I am taking a bandsaw basics class tomorrow at Woodcraft, so that should at least make me user friendly. This has been quite the investment, but I have high hopes it will pay off. I have sold most all the pens I have made.
I made my second turned bowl yesterday. Getting better. I will post pics soon.
THanks again for the imput!
Let the fun begin!!!!
Nancy
