Topic tags/keywords: question

Hey All,
Has anyone had LJ close its web browser when clicking on links or going to successive pages at the bottom of your current page? I’ve had it shut down all LJ invoked links such as threads of search topics or trying to go to the next page in my search results. If I have a browser opened with websites other than LJ they do not close. It’s become frustrating because I’ll be into a thread and all of a sudden, zip, all LJ pages close up.
I occasionally look at Lumberjocks from my work computer (don’t tell my boss) but I don’t recall having more than one LJ page/browser open at one time and I don’t remember this happening at work.
This computer appears to be stable. It is running IE7 with Norton patrolling in the background and no other websites cause this phenomenon.
It’s not a real problem but it gets annoying after repeated closures. Any advice or commiserating is appreciated. Thanks, Marc

No problems here. I look at LJ’s on desktop computer, laptop, and my iPad2. I regularly have several LJ windows open at same time.

Good luck with a solution.

You might try installing another browser—IE7 is quite old. I’ve found Chrome to be remarkably stable.

I have IE 8 on Windows 7. I’ve noticed the same thing, but just on here.

A “Workaround” is to place your Cursor (Arrow) on the area you want to go to. Right Click, on the Menu choose “Open in New Window” (Or “Open Link in New Window” if your going Off This Site), Right Click on that and it will open a New Window and allso leave the Last One Open.

I use Firefox at work and at home and I don’t have any of these problems. I rarely have any problems on any site. Firefox does a pretty good job.
