I have the basic kit. I like it, I use it. It works, just like it’s supposed to. I see they have upgraded it to have the smart bar, which addresses my only dislike, which is that getting a slop-free fit in the miter slot is not as easy as I would like. Don’t need to get their DTI – a Harbor Freight $10 one is just fine. The thing to remember about this kind of product is that the only thing that matters is that it holds the DTI rigid in the slot. You don’t need exact 90 degrees, you don’t need any particular length or angle at the DTI. All that matters is that the DTI is held rigidly as you slide it up and down in the slot. That means a DIY holder is a fine solution. I got the A Line It on sale (probably the clean the inventory out before upgrading it). At $80 list price, not sure it’s worth it. |

IMHO, overpriced and unnecessary. A quick web search reveals many ways to align tools at little to no cost. -- He who dies with the most tools... dies with the emptiest wallet. |
