I was lucky enough to be browsing CL the other day when I came across a listing that said “assorted hardwood boards”. I decided to open the listing to see how much they wanted for the boards since it was only a 10 minute drive from my house. When I opened the listing and saw “free for the taking”, I immediately got my napping 5 month old from her crib to her carseat, jumped in the truck and drove over. Leaning against a wall in the alleyway behind a house was all of this awesome lumber! There is a mix of oak, maple, poplar, walnut and ash.

Very nice! There never seems to be enough wood “free for the taking” anymore.

I look forward to seeing lots of projects from all that primo lumber!

Touchdown! Man the stuff on CL around here is just junk. I look about once a week and have yet to see anything of interest.
