So I visit central CA every summer and this year I wold like to bring back some slabs. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for sawyers to contact. I searched and found a lot of companies but I would rather get some suggestions.

I drive through LA and up to the Stockton area so I have a huge area I can access.

Thanks

Jayson

tangible, a few places to try in this area:

Baker Hardwoods in Gilroy, south of San Jose
Global WoodSource in Santa Clara (exotic and domestic slabs- amazing place)
if you are going up near Sacramento, The Walnut Place in Davis, CA

I don’t have a recommended supplier, but I do suggest you carry your moisture meter with you (if you don’t already).

Depending on the difference between where you live and LA, the slabs can end up moving a lot.
