So I’ve decided to take the plunge into an HVLP system, and for my budget/needs the Earlex looks perfect. So, Everybody says to get the fine needle (I think I’ll use it mostly for water based poly), is it worth getting the “ultra fine” as well?

I have the 5000 and been thinking to up grade as i would like to spray latex without so much thining. I mix poly in with the paint along with water and festol. The instructions say thin form 35 to 60 sec. I thin to 35 and bought the 2.5 tip…and can get prettygood results.

Your 5500 is better and with poly i use the 1.5 or 2 tip.

Earlex blows air all the time when on. Even when you are not pulling the trigger. It ok but be carefull not to blow dust around when pointing off the target.

It simple to use and cleans up easy
