Topic tags/keywords: scroll saw question

Hi fellow LJ’s,
I was given this old scroll saw recently and wondered if anyone knew of a branded version that I could trace a manual for. I realise that it is a generic saw with possibly many brands, but any help would be great. I’ve tried the supplier plate, but there is no record of this company anymore.

Here is a link to more photos

It seems a decent, weighty saw, with very little vibration. The only problem is it will only accept pinned blades, and I really would like to use pin free blades.

Anyway,

Thanks in anticipation,

Garry

You guys are amazing! I found the exact machine on the Grizzly website. Well, mine is single speed, so not exactly the same! Unfortunately it is one of the few machines they don’t publish the manual for online! I have the model number though so I’ll keep looking.

Any ideas where else I may be able to get the manual?

Thanks for the help once again

Garry

Are these typical reviews of Grizzly products?

Maybe I should’t spend too much time looking for a manual after all!

Don’t think that is typical for grizzly – but perhaps scroll saws from Grizzly are poor.
Everyone loves their Jointers and Bandsaws, but other tools….not so much.
Table saw is good for the price, but is certainly no PM or Unisaw.

Grizzly is a contract house – they have stuff built for them, it may be the scrollsaw builder and/or Specifications are not up to snuff.

It looks similar to a Hegner and may take the Hegner accessory
for pinless blades. I am not saying it is a Hegner copy, just that
the mechanism looks similar and the Hegner stuff may fit.
