I’m looking for any input in getting some bar stock for the t-slots for my table saw to make jigs with. I poked around and found a few places that had some, but I was wondering if anyone has had luck making t-slot runners out of wood with a shaper or router table or if anyone has had problems / good experiences with particular metal t-slot bar stock.

I make them out of hard maple. Joint the board on one face, plane the thickness so that the thickness is the width of the slot and it slides in the slot nicely, then cut off strips on the table saw, 3/8”, which is typically the depth of the slot. Got them on my sleds and other jigs and haven’t worn any out yet needing to replace them.
