I’ve seen some jewelry boxes with some clever locking mechanisms. I’m not a great LJ searcher but I bet someone can help you out. Good luck!

I like magnetic locks. They’re simple, quicky & easy to activate, and without a magnet (in the right place) someone can search and fiddle forever without opening it. It’s also usually easy to hide something magnetic nearby inconspicuously.
