My miter saw currently has a 12” Dewalt 32 tooth blade on it that is tearing the crap out of the poplar I am trying to cut.

What’s a good replacement blade I can buy at Home Depot?

Freud Diablo 44, 60, or 80 teeth?

You definitely should have more teeth. I would look for a blade designated as a mitre saw blade, different tooth angles that help prevent tearout.

I’m trying to figure out the minimum amount of teeth I need to prevent tearout. What do you guys use on your miter saws?

60 plus or minus a bit. 80 is too slow for me.

I use my Dewalt for a lot of trim work, and the 80 tooth works best for not chipping…especially small mouldings.
