If you still have some next week, I may buy a jack and/or jack/srub.

I saw that you’re from hoosick falls. I used to go fishing several times a summer and fall in the Troy area and believe I fished in your neck of the woods.

So, the cash has come in. Not much, but I am looking for a fore plane or a scrub plane. Is the #6 ground with camber? What would you recommend for a good roughing plane?

I would recommend a #5 with a camber first like Plane #5. The #6 is a little big for that. I’d put a camber on #7 for you as well if you wanted something a little cheaper.

If spunwood doesn’t take it, I’m interested in the Stanley #5. Shipped price to 01731?
Thanks,
Russel

No problem Spun, I just couldn’t let it sit at that price. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it and put it to good use.

There are a few more left. I had an abundance of #5 for some reason.

Nice collection and nice resto. I am looking for a larger shoulder plane if you come across any. Would love if I could afford the $200 plus for new L/N but that’s not in the budget. And not crazy about all the cheap knock-offs I see on ebay. Please send me a note if you have, or find, a good shoulder plane. Thanks,
Jon

Jon, I don’t have one, and I mean I don’t even own one myself (not a larger one that is), so the first one I find is staying home. :-)

If I find 2, you got dibs.
