Ever since I bought the Dewalt tablesaw I have wanted to use the back angle iron to mount an outfeed table. I want the table to sit flush with the back of the saw but was never able to because of the plastic glide that is attached to the back of the fence that rides the angle iron. Last week I decided to remove the plastic glide from the fence. I replaced it by putting 1/32” glide tape on the bottom side of the fence. I’ve used the fence extensively and have found no change. The fence is still dead accurate and still tightens down as before. Now I can use the back angle iron for whatever I want.
