Hey guys. I saw on here a box with a live edge myrtle burl. The live edge was only on the front edge with for me begged the question where can I go to get whatever burl cut to my specs. Is there anyone that does that or is it kinda whatever you find. Id be looking for anything from small box tops like I saw to table tops. Im not worried about the money as long as its in line with market values. I also know that custom cutting comes extra. Just want to know who does it. As always, thanks guys for your help.

Any exotic woods dealer who deals in burls and exotic turning
stock will make most non-precision cuts at an additional charge.
You’d probably want to deal with a shop that is close
or local because shipping costs can be onerous.

Mark, the Burl box top wood came from a place in Bandon, Oregon. I was driving by and my truck almost turned by its self into their yard full of wood! The name of the place is American Western Exotic Hardwoods, 541-347-9858. Very nice guys to deal with. Burl is seldom cheap, but this wasn’t too bad. They weren’t a neat, organized operation and we had to look in several storage sheds to find what i wanted. Of course that was fun!!

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!
