I was going to the Wood Working show on Fri with a few guys from the LOW wood workers club but woke up feeling like crap so I opted out and stayed home which turned out to be the right thing to do. I was disapointed that I missed out on having lunch then a social afternoon with a few good people. I did however end up going on Sat and as it turned out I ran into three club members one of which took this picture of me and Tommy MacDonald from the PBS show Rough Cut. He was doing a seminar on sharpening card scrapers and plane irons, (Just what I needed) Hes a real down to earth guy easy to talk to and eager to answer any question, I started watching him on YouTube when he made his first video and thought whats this guy trying to prove but as it turns out hes a real nice guy. OH and I finally know how to sharpen a card scraper thanks to Tommy.
