I learned about this on Rob Cosmans site David Charlsworth was in critical condition has mounted a huge hospital bill in Germany. He will need us to support him until he is well enough to return to work. all people are now welcome to reply to this. this is such a serious need that i have unblocked my enemies and want everyone’s help there are people working on making contact with David and as soon as we have a way set up to send him money please set aside a few dollars so we can each give a little. As you know David is not rich and as a professional woodworker he is self insured it is crucial that we get this aid to him directly and there are people working to set this up click here for more updates http://blog.woodcraft.com/?s=charlesworth if any one here knows how we can help David directly please post the info but pm me so we can set this support up

Dude – I think I’m right in saying that that was some time ago. He’s been back in the UK for months now and I believe he has started teaching again. Here is the latest post from David’s blog:

The Phoenix……

Rob did such a good job of telling everyone how ill I was, that I am now faced with the opposite problem of informing you all, how well I am.

Time, clean living and no smoking, are doing their stuff. I am well on the way back to full strength. A huge thank you to everyone for the astonishing amount of support I received. It was overwhelming and greatly appreciated.

Short courses will start in late April and next winters 12 week courses will proceed as usual. Dates have been posted on the website.

I’m glad he’s getting stronger & stronger…

He has really gone through a very rough time…

Good news.
I had not looked at his website recently to check on how David was doing, but this is good news that he is on the mend.
I can heartily recommend his ‘tool tuning’ courses. If for no other reason than how to ‘tune up’ your no 5 1/2 Plane into a ‘Super Smoother’.

Cheers
John
