I got my Sawstop Professional table saw today. I want to put wheels on it but wanted to ask the group if I should get the integrated mobile base (2 pivot wheels, 2 fixed wheels) versus the industrial mobile base (4 pivot wheels, hydraulic lift)?

I planned to build my surrounding tables/benches to the same height and since the integrated base sits on the floor but the industrial base does not, the height does matter.

Any thoughts?

I guess it’s been a while, but nobody has replied so I’ll give it a shot.

From what I understand, both mobile bases are very good. Given no other restrictions, I’d say it comes down to whether you’re paying out-of-pocket for the base and whether you really need the improved maneuverability of the industrial mobile base. Personally, I would have preferred the industrial mobile base and would have paid the extra $129 if I was paying out-of-pocket.

I bought my saw during the promo period and could have chosen either the overarm dust collection or integrated mobile base for free. I’m sure I could build my own overarm dust collection for $10 or less, so that option seems kind of stupid. I asked SawStop if I could just pay the difference and get the industrial mobile base, but they said no. <sigh> I decided in the end to get the integrated mobile base because I won’t be moving my saw around that often and I get to keep $329 in my pocket.
