Topic tags/keywords: fish measure board hobby

I’m preparing a trip for my nephew’s boy scout troop. Sadly the star of the show is MIA, we need fish measuring boards. I was hoping I could get some help from folks far more talented than I. Each one is piece of wood an little more than 1 yard long, about 0.5” thick and 7” wide. It needs to have a “backstop” at one end to place the fish’s head against. This part is a perpendicular piece of wood about 2” tall. The board needs to have a meter stick (I know the units I gave are empirical) embedded in the the top that is flush with the surface of the wood.

Are you asking for knowledge on how to build this, or for someone to build one for you? As far as wood working goes, it is a pretty simple project; with a router you could build this in about 20 minutes.

Well I’m seeing if it can be made for us. I don’t have any access to any of the needed tools.

When do you need it for and what part of the country do you live in?

How many? (I can’t provide them, but you haven’t given this information…your first post sounded like you just needed one.)

I need three additional ones altogether.

Have your say...
