Topic tags/keywords: pin nailer 23 gauge freeman

I am working on a project and I was trying to tack some thin strips of wood and my 18 gauge porter cable kept spliting the strips. So, I decided to look for a 23 gauge pin nailer, but didn’t want to drop a lot of money on something I wouldn’t use that often. I found the Freeman 23 Gauge, 1” Micro Pinner for $53.99 @ Woodcraft on sale. It had really good reviews, so I started to order it. Then I thought I better compare prices. Right now, Amazon has it for $28.95. So i bought it from them. The reviews on Amazon are also very good. I was also able to pick up a 3000 pack of 1/2” Bostich pins for $7.71. For a grand total of $36.66 with free shipping. Quite a savings over Woodcrafts price and Woodcraft was not offering free shipping. The only down side I saw in the reviews was that it did not have a non-marring tip. One of the reviewers dipped it in plasticoat and said that it was working well. I will put up a review of the tool after I have used it, but wanted to give you guys a heads up if you are looking for and inexpensive pin nailer. Don’t know how long Amazon will have it at that price. (The reviews on lumberjocks are also pretty good.)
