Has anyone replaced the rubber edge strips on their track saw guide rails? I can buy new ones or take the old ones off, turn them around (or move them over a bit) and glue them back on.
The question is, how do you clean off the old adhesive, and what adhesive is suitable for reattaching them to the aluminium guide rail.
If anyone has done this, what works best and how difficult is it to do?

Remove the double-sided tape from the affected area and replaced it with carpet tape.

Acetone or lacquer thinner will remove the old adhesive.
