I have found a lot of great designs for an air cleaner or filter setup and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about where is the best place to put this. I am getting ready to build one but want to know if the ceiling is the best place or lower down like some have shown on some of the listings. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Ceiling is whats recommended, as it will circulate the air through the entire shop.

From what I’ve read, and my own experience, you want to make the air flow around your shop in a circular pattern if possible. This way dust will always come back to the filter to be cleaned, rather than blowing all to one corner or one end of the shop.

Also, it may depend on your ceiling height. If you have 15’ or 20’ ceilings, you will want to research that or take some other advise. I only know what works in the average height shop of 8’ or 9’. Once you get much taller, 15’ or more, it may well be different.
