Woodworking show

I’m in the Seattle are too. I’ll be there on Saturday. It should be a lot fun. I’ve never been to one these before. I’m sure 1 day won’t be enough :).

Shawn and/or Mike and anyone else going this weekend to Seattle’s woodworking show,
Have fun and enjoy the show there in Seattle. I have gone to two of them so far this year: Indy and Kansas City. I have set my “goals” a little higher now! Unfortunately my pocket was not as big as I had wanted it to be! (In fact I think it had a hole somewhere near the bottom!!!!) I did okay though.

You had one in Louisville last November I think…I’ll be there this November if it comes back. I live between Louisville and Indy.

The show was good. I did not get to spend as much time as I would have liked. There are $2 off tickets on their web site and also free Spouse tickets if you did not get their mailer.

I only went to a couple of the sessions. If you have the time you could spend a couple of days there.

I’m kind of kicking my self for not picking up the Jet sharpener. They were $250 at the show…

Panama,
We did have one last year, but I have my doubts about a return trip. Last year was the first time in several years that they brought it to Louisville, and they did not have a very good turnout. If I was a betting man, I’d bet they won’t come to Louisville next year. I went to one in Indy a couple years ago, and it was far better than the one we had here. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, but if they don’t come to town next year then I be there for the Indy show.

Had a great time at the show. Jim Heavy is very entertaining and had lots of good tips. He is very down to earth and really wanted to help us get better at this hobby. To many tools, to little money. Lots of nice wood there as well.

Shawn and Wayne, you should blog your woodshow trips to let us know how they went. The good points, the bad points, what you enjoyed, and what bargins you missed picking up (Wayne). It sounds like it would be a good item to share.

I missed the Sacramento show. Hopefully there will be another one in the area this year.
