Topic tags/keywords: foley retooher hand saw saw

Like most old things, you end up with a few extra in the process of learning. I’m looking to sell a complete rethoother, manual, ratchets bars and carriers. The standard set included the following 5 bars that will retooth on those points per inch.

This is everything you need to retooth a saw. It would be for local pick up or there abouts. I travel quite a bit North and South so we might work something out.

I’m happy take a few pictures and plan to this weekend.

I’m asking 250.00 for the complete set which is a good deal considering 90% you find are missing something nor the guy selling it can tell you ANYTHING about it.

I do also have a 200 filer and power setter if interested. I have not done anything with the filer but it is complete. I mostly deal with the retoothers and sometimes buy them along with it.

If your looking for just parts. let me know.

thanks email Joefederici(AT)

So are you going to cut new teeth by hand from now on Joe? Surely you haven’t finished collecting old saws. :-)

No maybe I didn’t explain it right. . .

In the process of getting everything to get MY retoother up and running I ended up with enough for 2 complete kits plus some filler bits. I’d like to offer them as compete to someone but if not I’ll just part them out on ebay. The carries, and ratchet bars are worth the price alone. I’d just rather see someone have fun with them. plus if they are local I can show them some basics which is something even harder to find.

The one I’ve been using is good to go. It took a wile for me to find all the bits but that’s all part of the process. Just last weekend I found that optional 14, 15, and 16 ppi ratchet bars which brought the total number of units I have to 3!

As for doing if I’m just adjusting the rake but if I want to go from 4.5 ppi to a 9 ppi CC the foley’s the man!
