I’m new to the forum and have been reading here all week. So i figured I better sign up. This is the best site on the net.. lots of information that help me decide not buy a cheap direct drive saw at lows.

I haven’t been in woodworking for while and never thought I would get back into it. Well Retired from the Military and bought house that need much improvement. First thought I need a darn good saw so I started looking on CL, as some have advised here on the forum

What I found on CL.

It is a 10 1/4 ” blade. 1.5 hp 3450rpm Dayton Motor. Tilting Arbor ,The Manufacturer is

I offered a c-note for this cabinet saw. still waiting to hear back. It’s in excellent condition the guy just replaced the belts , and best of all no rust anyplace. the cord needs replacing, not a big deal though. it weighs about 175 lbs, looks like a Delta Unisaw. I think this one was made in the late early to mid 80’s

I tried looking for a older delta 10 contractors saw. but cant find any here in NM for sale. a few are in Phoenix AZ , It’s either this SPRUNGER 10 1/4 or drive 450 miles for Delta 10 contractors saw.

I do remember this company did they go out f business? is this a good value for the saw? are parts still available? I was figuring maybe this would be a good do all saw for the home. I plan on fixing up my house first , them move on to some furniture and cabinets later for my self.

I’m staying away for the Big box stores because after seeing the older saws there is no comparison to quality. unless I buy a new Delta 10 for 1500 which I don’t want to.
