Wixey or igaging

I have one of the Wixey protractors and agree about the locking mechanism. Their tilt box works great. The digital height gauge- not so great. The last digit constantly changes value by a couple 10/1000’s. Probably no big deal for what I do but still annoying.

I mean most of the stuff I would need the protractor for I can just write down the measurement like for inside and outside angles with moulding, so that’s not a huge deal to me. I think I would rather have the better accuracy if other guys agree that wixey is better than igaging.

Not much to add on the digital stuff, but FWIW I have a 4” igauging double square and it’s slightly out of square and the sliding is rough.

Well i orered both the 8” wixey protractor and the newer angle finder with built in “level to earth” and hold functions.

I’ll try em out and post a review of each for you guys. I got them shipped overnight, so I should have them tomorrow.
