Topic tags/keywords: question

Am I the only one seeing the “you won ads” ?

Very annoying. Would gladly pay money to the site provider not to see them. Is that what you are trying to do piss us off enough to make paying for using this site?

The you won adds have got to go, how do other’s feel.

Thanks jb

I honestly could not tell you what ads are here, until you mentioned it and I looked, I have Dragons of Atlantis and ORS Racks. Hey I was just searching on the Yakima roof rack site the other day, and here I have an ad for a competing product! What a coincidence.

I never see them. I have Adblock, Popup Blocker, Ghostery and Noscript installed on my Firefox browser.

Dan, probably not a coincidence. your recent searches may influence what ads you see….. might want to run spybot and adaware both good programs

Don’t know what you’re talking about, because I have Adblock running on Google Chrome.

Google’s Adblock works for me.

I saw (and heard) it once, about a week ago. I didn’t really think much about it at the time. It definitely didn’t piss me off! lol!
It was just another ‘fart in the wind’ in the world of cyberspace.

+1 To what Joe^ does. AdBlock Plus(free) and Google Chrome = no ads. Talk of all these ads I’m missing makes me think it’s time to donate a few bucks again. The site has to have income, and I would rather pay than put up with the ads. -Jack

That’s exactly it. It’s all based off your browser cookies. Clear your browser history and cookies and the ads will default back to what ever normally appears on the site.

For example, yesterday I was looking at Remote Control Helilcopters, today I have ads that point me to RC Helicopter sales.

So if you see an ad for penis enlargment well, what were you (or your wife) looking at before comming here? HAHAHAHA

Adblock. Don’t surf the net without it.
